I've always heard this song as a little kid and I always loved humming along to the song, trying to figure out what words are being said and judging by the tone of the song I felt it was talking about a loved one. Now I finally found this song and the lyrics.. <3

I lived in Hawaii when I was younger (7-10 y.o) and, even though I am 20 now, I will always consider myself Hawaiian. I remember sitting on a swing with my best friend on a hill. In the distance we could see Diamond Head, the ocean, and Wakiki. The sun was right above us, the sky was blue with picturesque clouds, and I remember thinking "This is home. This is where my heart will always be." Whenever I pop in Keali'i, I go back to that day. |
